CheckoutLohmöllers Tube 2.0

The perch bait par excellence
Our aim was to develop a lure that not only exceeds anglers' expectations, but also protects the environment and the angler himself.
I think we have achieved just that. Lohmöller's tube
Now there are no more excuses!
- Fat nine centimetres long.
- Juicy, voluminous body.
- Straw-like protruding tentacles.
- Strong buoyancy.
- Super-tough material.
- Quality made in Germany.
- No toxic phthalates.
But how do you fish them to tease out the giants among the perch? - Tickling is the key word.
When the right debris is on the move, it occasionally shows itself through test bites. A short pluck. An inconspicuous very short tug or the slight vibration similar to that of a goby bite can give them away. The boss perch rarely go straight for a conventional bait.
If you're fishing the right rod (check it out here!), you'll feel it subconsciously and perhaps call it intuition or instinct. Very exemplary and religious people may also interpret it as a sign from our patron saint Nosferatu. Now it's time for the Tube 2.0: unlike the tried and tested tube, you place it on the bottom and give a little slack with the line. They don't like the singing of a taut line at all!
You can carefully feel with the rod tip before moving the bait bit by bit. If the mega-cruncher is in the middle of the perch crowd, there is a good chance that it will take your offer correctly this time and maybe even get caught. If everything is right now, you might even be able to land the ocolytus. However, this is not so easy with the really big adults and they have seen a hell of a lot of mates use the lift! The atomic perch behaves like a permanently shaking D-train that doesn't fancy a short stay on land.
How to fish the tube
Take the tube and insert a weight. It works better with lure paste. Use steel or tungsten! Then hook a circle hook, e.g. Gamakatsu Circle size 2, just below the fringes in the centre of the bait.
That's it!
You don't have to worry about the bait coming off on a long cast. The super-tough mixture can withstand anything. Now you just need to find your favourite presentation. I like to let them hop across the bottom.
Now it's time to catch and enjoy!
Happy birthday lohmöllers tube
TUBE CATCHES! The tube delivers!
Give it a try and try it as described here, even if it may seem strange to you. Success will come quickly.
I am often asked about the most common baiting method and it usually goes like this:
"Is that how you mount the tube?" "Yes."
"Just put weight in the back and hook through the middle at the front?" "Exactly."
"And you're 100% sure that this gives me an advantage over my competitors when it comes to perch?" "That's right."
"Without a carabiner, tie it on directly?" "That's how I recommend it."
"You really change colour after every bite?" "That's the trick, you have to change one component to keep perch happy."
How do you guide the tube?
There are different ways, depending on the activity and location. I usually let the tube sink a little and then pluck it lightly over the bottom or through the middle water. However, you can leave it at the bottom and sometimes drag it lightly over the bottom. You'll soon find out!
After initial scepticism from new users, I often get positive feedback relatively quickly.
That makes me very happy!
